They display an assortment of vibrant hues ranging from crimson and gold to purple and yellow. Tiny eight-tentacled polyps emerge along every branch to capture drifting suspended food particles.

Distribution and Habitat

Native to the biodiverse reef systems of the Indo-Pacific, these gorgonians thrive along exposed reef crests, seaward channels, and steep outer slopes. They naturally anchor onto hard coral rock where brisk tidal currents continuously flush the surrounding environment.

Lighting and Flow Requirements
