Distribution and Habitat

Found in the Indo-Pacific from the Philippines to Indonesia, frequenting sheltered coral reefs and rubble slopes at moderate depths.

Physical Description

Features a multi-colored body with red, orange, blue and purple tones, complemented by yellow dorsal accents and shimmering iridescent scales.

Diet and Feeding

Carnivorous, feeds on zooplankton in open water, eagerly accepting frozen mysis, copepods, and marine flake foods.

Behavior and Reproduction

Plankton pickers that are peaceful with other peaceful species, but are agile jumpers that require a secured lid.

Aquarium Care

Requires 30+ gallons with a tight lid. It is reef-safe, peaceful, and an ideal choice for reef aquariums of all sizes.
