Physical Description
Similar to the Caribbean nassarius but from the Indo-Pacific, spiral shell with a pointed spire.
Diet and Feeding
Carnivorous scavenger, feeds on dead organisms, detritus and leftover food.
Behavior and Reproduction
Burrows in the sand, emerges when it detects food, great sand bed cleaner.
Aquarium Care
Requires 10+ gallons with a sand bed, reef-safe, excellent addition to a clean-up crew.
Conservation Status
