Distribution and Habitat

Physical Description

Central disc with long slender arms, green to olive coloration with darker bands, arms regenerate if broken.

Diet and Feeding

Omnivorous scavenger, feeds on detritus, leftover food and small invertebrates, may catch small fish at night.

Behavior and Reproduction

Nocturnal, hides under rocks during the day, arms move in a serpentine fashion, can reproduce by fragmentation.

Aquarium Care

Requires 50+ gallons with live rock for hiding, may eat small fish and shrimp so caution needed, handle gently as arms are fragile.
