Distribution and Habitat

Physical Description

White body with red bands and long claws, reaches about 9 cm.

Diet and Feeding

Carnivorous, feeds on small invertebrates and leftover food, accepts frozen and prepared foods.

Behavior and Reproduction

Territorial and may be aggressive toward other shrimp, forms monogamous pairs, molts regularly.

Aquarium Care

Requires 30+ gallons with live rock and hiding places, semi-aggressive, may eat small fish and shrimp, best kept singly or as a pair.

Classified as Least Concern by the IUCN Red List.
